What is the Universal Healing Dao?
The Universal healing Dao is a coherent Daoist system of techniques rooted in the process of nature. The system is designed to improve physical, mental and spiritual well - being. It is not a religion and does not require belief in any set of deities or gods. The techniques of Universal Dao work directly with the energy or “qi” flowing through the meridian system of the body.
What is qi?
Qi is life force itself which flows through the body in specific patterns. Qi is a universal form of energy which can be directed by the mind through meditation practice. Unless a person is highly sensitive, or has increased its sensitivity through meditation, Qi cannot be directly perceived by the senses, yet it is not merely an idea. Qi is a source of vitality in the body. When it is present in abidance one is healthy, if absent, one is dead. The best way to strengthen Qi is by gathering, concentrating and storing it through sitting meditation.
What does the awakening of healing energy mean?
It means reopening blocked meridians so that Qi can flow unimpaded and restoring yin & yang energy balance.
Does Qi has any other function besides circulating in the body? The continuous flow of Qi links the consciousness with various systems in the body into a unified whole. Qi also links the personal awareness with the environmental consciousness.
What is the Daoist approach to energy absorption?
The Universal Dao approach is to gradually open the channels, learn to circulate energy, rise the level of Qi production, increase the capacity to absorb higher levels of energy and then proceed to higher level meditations where large amounts of universal Qi are absorbed and refined without seriously risking overload at any step of practice.
