Day and night you must remember me,
And I will not suddenly let you go.
Waking and dreaming you must think of me,
And I will appear to prove your faith….
Be upright and guard your self,
And I will know you as one of the good.
I have given you a text
(Daodejing).
If you wish to know me,
Recite the »Five Thousand Words«
ten thousand times
Then you can see my face and know my body.
Come softly to be one with me!

Daily internal practice
Now, as for your daily internal practice,
keep your eating and drinking regulated;
restrain your speaking and meditate alone.
Do not allow even a single thought to arise.
The ten thousand affairs are all forgotten.
Then preserve your spirit and stabilize your intent.
The mouth are mutually locket up;
the teeth should be lightly touching.
Your eyes do not see a single thing;
your ears do not hear a single sound.
Unified, the heart - mind is guarded within.
Continually harmonize your breathing.
Subtle, still more subtle, make light exhale.
It is as if breath exist, as if it does not exist.
Nothing is allowed to separate or interrupt.
Then the fire of the heart naturally descends;
the water of the kidneys naturally ascends.
Inside your mouth, the sweet dew arises of itself.
The numinous Perfected support your body
and you spontaneously know the path to long life.
During the twelve double-hours of the day,
constantly seek clarity and stillness.
The Numinous Tower of the Heart emptied of all things:
This is called clarity.
Not allowing even single thought to arise:
This is called stillness.
The body is the dwelling place of qi.
The heart is the residence of spirit.
When intent moves, spirit is agitated;
when spirit is agitated, Qi is dispersed.
When intent is stable, remains fixed;
when spirit remains fixed, Qi gathers.
The perfect Qi of the five phases
then gathers together and forms a pinch of elixir.
Then naturally in the body a sound can be heard.
Walking and standing, sitting and lying down,
one constantly practices awareness.
In the body, it is as if there is the movement of wind.
In the belly, it is as if there is the sound of thunder.
Infusing and harmonizing Qi fully,
a rich liquid pours into the top of the head.
When you drink of this pinch of elixir,
your ears begin to hear the tunes of the immortals.
These are the sounds of the stringless melodies
sounding spontaneously without any strumming, reverbating naturaly without any drumming.
Spirit and Qi than combine together
like child being cherished in the womb.
If you can observe the inner regions,
spirit naturally begins to communicate.
This is residence of emptiness and nonbeing,
the place where you can reside with the sages.
If you combine the combination through nine revolutions,
you will bind and complete the great elexir.
Spirit then spontaneously enters and leaves.
Your years will match those of Heaven and Earth;
your radiance will join with that of the sun and moon.
Then you cast off arising and passing away.
Each day that you cease to practice this,
surely there will be injury and disease.
So, during all the twelve double-hours of the day,
constantly seek clarity and stillness.
Qi is the mother of spirit;
spirit is the child of qi.
Like a hen incubating an egg,
preserve spirit and nourish qi.
Then you will never be separated from the Wondrous.
Mysterious and again more mysterious...
In the human body there are seven treasures.
Use them to support the country and pacify the people.
Then your essence, Qi and blood will be abundant.
Essence is quicksilver;
blood is yellow gold;
Qi is beautiful jade;
marrow is quartz;
the brain is numinous sand;
the kidneys are jade rings;
and the heart is a glittering gem.
These are the seven treasures...
Keep them firmly in your body, never letting them disperse.
Refine them into the great medicine of life.
Then with all the ten thousand spirits,
your will ascend to the immortal realms.

Daodejing
kot ga uči Bernard Svete
“1”
Z govorjenjem se življenje
ne dotakne večnosti.
Z imenom se od nje ločuje.
V izvoru neimenovana
Stvarnik in stvarstvo sta eno
in z imenom delita
na znotraj in zunaj ves svet.
Zatorej:
Vedno brez sodbe zreš v resnico
in si s konceptom ustvariš meje.
Dve te strani v izvoru še ena z imenom
se sama v nasprotje rodi.
Združena skupaj kažeta pot
skrivnost vseh skrivnosti
vrata življenja.
------------------------------------------------------------------
“2”
V zunanjosti vsakdo zaznava lepoto
samo zaradi notranje ideje o grdem.
In dobroto zaradi notranje ideje o slabem.
In tako miselni konstrukt:
S praznim polnost ustvarja.
Z lahkim težko izpolni.
S kratkim dolgo primerja.
Z nizkim visoko podpira.
Z zvokom tišino harmonizira.
Z zunanjim notranje polni.
Zato modrec v svojih dejanjih
ničesar ne sodi;
brez govorjenja uči.
Desettisoč stvari ga ne zmoti,
se v centru drži.
Dela in ne pričakuje.
Ustvarja in ne poseduje.
Doseže namen in se ne ustavi,
ker si ne jemlje zaslug
ostaja eno z izvorom
in ne trpi izgube.
------------------------------------------------------------
“3”
Ne povzdiguj dobrote,
da pozabiš na tekmovalnost.
Ne ceni težko dosegljivih stvari
in te ne bo mikalo krasti.
Ne usmerjaj pozornosti na želje
in srce ne bo vznemirjeno.
Zato modrec:
Izprazni glavo in srce
in usmeri intent v izvor.
Zmanjša svoje ambicije
in ojača svoje telo,
tako ostane brez večjih potreb
in se redko mu želja pojavi.
S kreativnim nedelovanjem
v centru ustvarja praznino
in z njo se dotika
življenja v večnosti.
----------------------------------------------------------
“4”
Dao je večno v centru in prazen,
a na izgled se giblje v vse smeri.
Ker je večno v centru in prazen
je njegov potencial neizčrpen.
Globok zares izgleda
desettisoč stvarem je izvor,
jim gladi robove
in sprošča vezi,
svojo luč v njih skriva,
se s prahom pokriva
in smeje se v večnosti igra.
Ne vem čigav otrok je,
ker obstaja pred stvarnikom.
----------------------------------------------------------
“5”
Nebo in zemlja
se dotikata desettisoč stvari
brez navezanosti,
zato se modrec na ničesar ne veže.
Nebo in zemlja ustvarjata,
kakor meh iz praznine
neizčrpno in neskončno.
Bolj ko se giblje,
več proizvaja.
Lahko se izčrpaš v opisovanju.
Zato je najbolje biti v centru.
-------------------------------------------------------------
“6”
Spiritualni izvor je nesmrten
imenovan misteriozna mati.
Njena odprtina
so vrata izvoru Nebes in Zemlje.
Večen brez konca se zdi njen obstoj.
Vse daje od sebe brez napora.
--------------------------------------------------------------
“7”
Nebo je večno
in zemlja je stara.
Nebo in Zemlja
sta večna in stara,
ker nista sama sebi namen
in večno služita drugim.
Zato modrec obstaja ponižen,
a se vseeno ne upogne.
Ne polni sam sebe.
In ker ostaja prazen
se lahko “vidi”.
---------------------------------------------------------
“8”
Največja dobrota je kakor voda.
Koristi desettisoč stvarem,
vendar si ne jemlje zaslug
in čisti tudi tista mesta,
ki so ljudem neljuba.
Zato je blizu TAU.
Najboljše mesto za
življenje na tem svetu
je zato globoko v srcu.
Z dobroto služiš drugim.
Z ljubeznijo se jih dotikaš.
Z iskrenostjo si jim prijatelj.
S prijaznostjo ustvariš dobre odnose.
Če vsak trenutek delaš dobro
in si ne jemlješ zaslug
se potopiš v Dao.
------------------------------------------------------------
“9”
Lok, ki ga napneš do konca - poči.
Rezilo, ki je nabrušeno do skrajnosti
ne bo uporabno za dolgo.
Prostor poln vrednot
ni varen za vedno.
Častiti premoženje
in biti ponosen nase
hitro privabi nesrečo.
Ko je delo končano
se modrec umakne
in s tem kaže pot življenja.
-------------------------------------------------------
“10”
Ali lahko držiš enost
brez najmanjše ločitve
telesa in duha?
Ali lahko vodiš energijo v center,
da dosežeš mehkobo in vitalnost novorojenca?
Ali lahko izostriš subtilno zaznavanje,
da postane jasno in čisto?
Ali lahko skrbiš za ljudi,
brez da te poznajo?
Ali lahko ostaneš miren,
ko se vrata življenja odprejo ali zaprejo?
Ali lahko brez aktivnosti
prodreš v center zavesti?
Moč dobrote
rodi in hrani,
ustvarja in ne lasti,
dela in ne pričakuje.
Vodi brez kontrole.
